FamiDash - A Rhythm Action Platformer With True NES Style

FamiDash is a rhythm-based action platformer that recreates the Geometry Dash experience using authentic 8-bit graphics and chiptune audio. The game limits itself to NES hardware-style visuals and sound, creating a retro feel that instantly stands out. Instead of modern effects, FamiDash focuses on clean pixels, simple colors, and music-driven gameplay.

One Tap Gameplay Built on Rhythm

FamiDash keeps the signature one-tap mechanic that made rhythm platformers so addictive. You control a cube and other forms that move forward automatically. Your job is to tap at the right moment to jump over spikes, gaps, and obstacles in sync with the music. Timing matters more than speed, and missing a beat usually ends the run. The gameplay feels familiar to Geometry Dash players but lighter and more playful thanks to the retro presentation.

Controls are simple enough for Anyone: Tap / Spacebar / Mouse Click to jump or switch forms.

Retro Sound and Visual Identity

What truly defines FamiDash is its commitment to NES-style presentation. The chiptune soundtrack follows classic hardware limitations, giving each level a distinct retro rhythm. Visuals stay clean and readable, which helps players focus on timing instead of visual noise. This combination makes FamiDash feel like a lost 8-bit game rebuilt around modern rhythm design.
