Flappy Bird - A Minimal Game That Took Over the World
Flappy Bird is an arcade game built on extreme simplicity and unforgiving difficulty. Developed by Vietnamese programmer Dong Nguyen under the indie studio .Gears, the game was first released in May 2013. It unexpectedly exploded in popularity in early 2014, becoming a global sleeper hit. Its sudden success pushed it to the top of App Store charts worldwide.
How the Gameplay Works
Players control a small bird named Faby that continuously moves to the right. Gravity constantly pulls the bird downward, and the only way to stay airborne is by tapping the screen to flap upward. The objective is to fly through gaps between pairs of green pipes placed at random heights. Hitting a pipe or falling ends the run instantly.
Controls: Tap / Click: Make the bird flap upward
